There are many ways to success, no way of learning but the failure of many businesses are similar, we need to know how they fail that is enough. It's very difficult to do business, such as war, alive means victory, the one coming back from the battlefield is successful, no matter how he performed in the battlefield. Businessmen, as well. when you go down this road, you should know that 95% people have fallen, why you're the lucky 5%. Ali has a huge difference with the others is that we insist on the future, we believe that ten years or twenty years later, the world certain become what it will be. Many years ago I have discussed with others what the strategy is. The strategy is that you know what the future will be, so dig a hole there, people will run over. Doing Business, we must have vision, strategy, confidence, so someone will invest on your business.

2. IT technology and Date technology

In the last century, companies must make better use of IT technology,  but this century, we must use Data Technology. There has a huge difference between IT technology and Data technology. The core of Data technology also the greatest thing in this century on internet is: Altruism. Believing others is important and smart than you. Try to trust others,only after the success of others, you can be successful. IT era to the DT era, the smallest sign is that how to help others succeed through your mind.

Experience (feeling) is a very important character in DT technology era. Services which we have talked about many times in the last century, and we continued to improve our service capabilities. In fact, the customer is not going to be served, they are going to experience. Experience is a very great skill in this century. The skill is not created by engineer or boss. Experience is the product of people's EQ in this century. In the last century, people compete with IQ, but people compete with EQ in this century. EQ is to make others comfortable, to allow customers comfortable, so that partners comfortable, nothing is more important than it.

3. About Alibaba in the United States

Western mind affected by the Christian. They usually find a competitor before doing something. Chinese mind affected by the Confucian and Taoism. Both of the faith pursuit of tolerance, mutual learning and integration. So Alibaba did not intend to compete with Amazon or Ebay. We are looking for opportunities to cooperate.
