The machines currently used to cut steel pipes mainly include cold and hot flying saws, both of which require saw blades. The price of these saw blades is not low, making them the most expensive raw material in the process. To address this issue, our company, CONTOR, has developed the Laser Flying Saw, which reduces the need for consumables and lowers costs. In the long run, the Laser Flying Saw is more suitable for welded pipe production.

Currently, widely used cold and hot flying saws need saw blades to cut steel pipes, and the price of these saw blades is very high, so the consumption of saw blades has become the most important expense in the production process. CONTOR’s Laser Flying Saw eliminates the need for saw blades by using a laser that consumes air, which is inexpensive and easy to obtain.

During the production process, since lasers do not need to make contact with the steel pipe like saw blades, they produce less noise and are friendly to factories that are close to residential areas.

The saw blade of the hot flying saw is very sharp, and due to the high speed of cutting steel pipe, there may be material splashing. All of these in the production process make it easy to injure the operators, endangering personal safety. However, the Laser Flying Saw abandons the saw blade and utilizes laser for cutting, thus reducing the risk level and ensuring the safety during welded pipe production. ?

When using the vertical laser flying saw to cut different shapes of steel tubes, we need to change the jig in order to hold the tubes better, but the time to change the clamp locks is only within five minutes, which is very efficient.
